Natural Reserves & Hydrology
The Gualivá region is home to dozens of eco-parks, reserves and protected wetlands. Ranging from around 800 to over 2900 meters (2600 to over 9500 ft) in altitude, the Gualivá region rests against the western most side of the Eastern Andes before they drop into Colombia’s capital, Bogotá. This makes the region rich in water from the moisture accumulation down the slopes with countless waterfalls, rivers and estuaries.
